a week agoFor us the best restaurant on our 3-week Florida vacation in January 2025. Unfortunately, the first table assigned was very cold due to the air conditioning, but the service was very friendly and took us to the back room, everything was great here. We ate, among other things, ceviche and lobster, everything tasted very good. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, you can also buy fresh fish to take away. We were so impressed with our first visit that we came back the next day. The restaurant is very busy, reservations are not possible, after 7 pm there was a small queue in front of the restaurant even during the week. We'll be back!

a month agoThe fish is amazing. So fresh, perfectly cooked and so good. The service was absolutely amazing. Everything arrived way faster than we expected. This is a must stop in Key Largo if you love fish! Featured below is what we ordered for dinner.

3 months agoFried conch was fried nicely and the breading was nice and crispy. My fish sandwich had way too much dill sauce on sandwich to be able to taste the jerk seasoning. Potato salad is house made, has a very mild flavor. Stuffed lobster was nicely prepared and juicy. Key Lime pie with mirengue top was one of my top best pies for this Keys trip! All employees were very nice and knowledgeable. Inside is cluttered in a fun way, although could be dusted or wiped off a bit better, and lots of colorful art for sale on the walls. Nice open parking lot.

a month agoI was really excited for my experience at The Fish House. Heard a lot of great things, and when I walked into the restaurant, it had a vibe that screamed amazing seafood. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated within minutes by very friendly staff. Every dish on each table we passed looked phenomenal, and the place smelled of fresh seafood. We started with the local rock crab and steamed clams for our appetizer and they did not disappoint. The clams were nice and big with an even bigger flavor and extremely fresh. The crab was also very fresh and meaty! Unfortunately thays where all good things came to an end. When our broiled yellowtail snapper arrived it was completely raw inside. Having a pregnant wife that was an extreme health concern and when we informed our server he said he would take care of it right away. It was extremely disappointing to see that taking care of it was to char burn the same fish and serve it back to us. While we waited for the fish our sides were left to cool off and were completely cold when we were served our now burnt fish. Anyone who grew up eating fish will know that reheating fish especially char burning it will only make the fish completely dry and unpleasant to eat. Our server from that point did NOT check up on us to see how the fish was now cooked and we barely ate any of it due to how dry the fish was, which the server didn't seem to care. The most disappointing experience we had in Florida thus far. The picture I added was of the fish from the first time it was served and unfortunately I did not take a picture of the fish after they reserved it to us. We had already butterflied the fish before noticing it was raw in the middle. When they reserved it to us the fish face and fins were all completely black and charred, the pieced I butterflied were just piled on top also burnt. We were so disappointed we left without trying dessert. Crab was $55 for 5 claws Clams were $25 Fish was $59

3 weeks agoSuch a fun atmosphere! This local dive will leave you wanting more. So many fresh catch options with several preparations sure to please everyone in your party. The Hush Puppies were a great choice for appetizers. And like me, if you’ve ever tasted key lime pie outside of the Keys and thought “eh”, save room for dessert!! OMG, their key lime pie is a whole other level of delicious!
