Hidden gem on the overseas highway!!!! We wanted to stop somewhere new on our way home and pulled into Sal's. Our food was super tasty! The mussels were cooked perfectly, the fish blackened just right, and the mac & cheese was thick and creamy! We can't wait to stop here again on our next trip!!!!!
We visited Key Largo for a week and this was the best food we had the entire time! Their gumbo is absolutely delicious, my husband loved the fried snapper, and my crab legs were yummy too. Our server was so nice, the environment was relaxed. Highly recommend this place!
Great spot that was across from our hotel we were staying at. Originally, I went for the crab legs but reversed course and when for the Mahi Mahi with crab meat and a key lime butter sauce. Was very good, and service was top notch. Would definitely recommend for a nice laid-back lunch or dinner
The beer was refreshingly cold, and the food was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms. My parmesan hogfish and five-cheese macaroni and cheese were outstanding; the hogfish was a new culinary experience for me, and I intend to order it again. My companion's California scallops and five-cheese macaroni and cheese were also delicious, described as rich and flavorful. This establishment is highly recommended.
My wife and I ate here a couple of times while in Key Largo and the food and service was terrific both times. While the location is right on US1 and very convenient the inside is old Keys laid back with a great local menu and full bar.
