Great food, beautiful views! The service was friendly, but not much table etiquette in terms of clearing plates between entrees or bringing a fresh set of silverware. The singer that night was an interesting genre. Would have expected a more tropical playlist, or a band. So, don’t come looking for a fun tropical ambience. However would return for the food and sunset!
We stopped for lunch and we were really glad that we did. The atmosphere and view is like paradise. We had blackened chicken club, chicken club, shrimp bowl, and Mahi sandwich. The fries and chips are homemade and delicious. A little pricey, but everything was great!! Our wait staff was friendly and attentive.
88 has evolved much since the old days when it was a dark little low ceiling haunt. Open, airy and the BEST sunsets! Great live guitar entertainment. Dining right on the beach. Romantic, yet causal. Bartenders Francois, Rosa, Angelo and manager Kevin are the BEST. Kevin always go out of his way to make sure all is good.
Marker 88 is a beautiful restaurant to watch the sunset and that’s about it!
Food is not the best even though they have the advantage for fresh seafood. I ordered a lobster pasta and lobster was overcooked with a side of hair; almost threw up at that experience. Caesar salad is pretty much one of the worst I’ve had in my life! Stick to appetizers according to my friends Crab Cake, Guacamole, Cuban Quesadilla & Rock Shrimp were okay but not amazing!
Try ordering a rosé but unfortunately it was room temperature. White, Rosé or Sparkling room temperature is a huge no at least in my book!
Manager decided to come to the table to say I was wrong about the temperature of his wine. I asked him a few questions about the wine on his menu and he had absolutely no clue. Come on hire a manager that would know all aspects of your establishment.
Left a 2 star because our waitress was so sweet!
Avoid this place at all costs unless you just come to watch the sunset and get cocktails.
Service was outstanding, atmosphere was great. I would have given the food five stars because it was amazing but I got violently ill later that evening. It’s a risk you take when eating seafood, I suppose.
