We were very impressed with this new addition to the Key Largo commercial environment. The retro style store has an abundance of varied merchandise...clothing, food and drink, water sports equipment, and tourist items. The staff was completely helpful and knowledgeable. There is ample to parking.

This place is truly a local gem! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and thoughtfulness in every detail—from the stunning decor to the meticulously designed outdoor space. It’s clear that a lot of love went into creating such a unique and welcoming spot.
To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting John, the owner, who is clearly a legend in the Keys! His warm personality and passion for this place shine through, making our visit even more memorable.
The selection here is incredible—a wide variety of rare sodas and candies you won’t find anywhere else, making it a fun and nostalgic treat. Plus, they have Ariat cowboy boots and other cool treasures to marvel at. It’s a perfect blend of charm and fun.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! This is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Also, don’t forget to try the food truck there and grab a burger (deliciousness ) from Dani who is amazing !
Johns General Store is...well...awesome (and unique in the keys). While a newer store - I will offer that it has a broad assortment of - FUN.
Apparel has everything you need for fun in the sun. Snacks - yup, from chips to Kit Kat bars of all varieties imported from Asia. Soda - from exotic, to "real" coke, to staples. Sunglasses from high end to "good enough @ a losable price point.". Higher end charcoal, premium cooking box, spices - yup! Lots of fun stuff for the kids (candy, toys, more). Great place to stop on your way to Islamorada, Marathon, or Key West.
General Store, what a nice and fresh look to the area. Beautiful store in and out. So many items you get lost in there! Something for everyone. Literally this is a shop out of a shopping mall. Might just be missing some horses outside!
A must stop if in the area. We love it. Stop by to check them out. Definitely a destination! We highly recommend!

a month agoRight next-door to Johns general store is Dian and Mike’s 102 smash burgers. They are the best cat and Bob highly recommends.
