I made my reservation online. When I got there, there was nobody in the line, so I walked up in, put my I. D on the counter and told him I made a reservation online. The front desk guy didn't say anything to me. He just took my information, gave me two keys and told me my room number and that was it. He did not give me any information about how much the deposit hold was or anything. He just told me the room number. He said 4 words to me. And then I asked is my room down here on the 1st floor... he's a yes, I asked which way...and he pointed. I said thank you, and I went to my room didn't see him anymore. Customer service needs some work. But the two ladies at the front desk when I checked out were very nice and pleasant, so I gave 2 stars. But the evening/night seem like since nobody is watching, they just do whatever....
This hotel is newly remodeled. The fitness center is still under remodel. Our room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was exceptional, so many selections that there's something for everyone and more! We stayed here because it's close to Everglades NP entrance. Also, had Triple A discounted rate.
The location is great. Close to the outlets, on the way to Key West and close to Everglades visitor center. Room was decent and clean. Staff wasn't prepared to serve breakfast to sold out Hotel guests and there were chaos, looks like Holidays affected the coverage, next morning the gentleman supporting breakfast did much better job. Overall. Happy with the stay.
The free breakfast was great, the building is solidly-built so we didn't hear any noise from outside our room or the floor above us, and the recent renovation shows excellent attention to detail (including the most effective blackout curtain setup we've ever seen at a hotel and very comfortable beds). The staff were friendly, especially the wonderful breakfast attendant. Great location for getting to the Everglades and Keys.
Nice safe choice for staying in the Miami area. Very good breakfast and all staff friendly and accommodating.
A major renovation began a couple of days before we stayed, so hard to tell how it would eventually turn out; don't want to comment on the appearance.
