2 months agoHotel staff is trying their best, but the building is very dated with a lot of deferred maintenance. Door locks are broken, doors themselves are broken, bathrooms are stained with iron from water, etc, etc. With all that, the rooms, the lobby, the outdoors where very clean. There was not an item out of place, cucumber water jug was always filled, there were always fresh towels for the pool, there were never dirty pool towels anywhere. Like someone mentioned, air freshener is applied very liberally, and it is hard to breathe. I opened the balcony doors, but there is so much noise and smell from cars and boats that I decided to just keep smelling febreeze. Hotel staff was great. Friendly, always working on something. At least ownership is keeping a lot of people employed. That's probably more important than outdated carpet. But they should also spend some money for upkeep to at least ensure doors close properly.

2 months agoStaff are very friendly, professional & helpful. My husband and I have been traveling all over the keys for the past month and we have to say that this hotel is the best one we have stayed at due to their cleanliness & maintenance of their facility. Having a clean room, clean sheets & friendly staff is so undervalued and we are so grateful to have experienced a stay with courtyard. Thanks everyone!

2 weeks agoI've stayed here several times. The biggest drawback of this hotel is that they have a bistro where you can buy your breakfast instead of the free breakfast offered at many other hotels in the same price range. I stayed in room 126 on the ground floor overlooking the pool and a part of the marina. The room was clean, and the hotel was mostly quiet. Next time I am in the Upper Keys I will more than likely stay here again unless something changes. The parking is also convenient and free.

2 weeks agoUnlikely to ever stay here again. Had an unfortunate experience of getting into the hotel at 11pm. Found sugar ants in the room and asked the receptionist to swap. Was told it was sold out so they couldn’t swap us. Our other party also had ants in their room. This hotel is old, outdated, and has ants. Would absolutely need a renovation before anyone else should stay here.

2 weeks agoDon’t stay here. I’m not one to write reviews-ever. But there’s a reason the rates seem better than the other hotels in the area. The entire hotel is badly outdated. Cosmetic changes just won’t be enough. There were ants in both of our parties’ rooms. When we requested other rooms, they said they were sold out but could “wipe our rooms down for us”. The iron in the room didn’t work, the tv didn’t display a picture and the AC sounded like it was on its last leg. Very unfortunate experience.
