a week agoI feel bad giving 3 stars as I somewhat blame myself for not looking into the hotel too much. We only had 2 nights in Miami after leaving a cruise and before flying to the Bahamas, so we got excited about staying on South Beach. The Clevelander was in a great location, the rooms looked really nice, and it seemed a pretty cool place - so we booked it (not cheaply I will add). The room was very nice. We got a suite and it was very big, spacious, clean and we'll kept. That's about the only positive I have, so stop reading if you want to stay here. This place is a combination hotel/street club. There isn't a pool - the pool you see is part of the "club". So to access it, you need to enter through the bar, bag checks and all. No outside drinks (even water), and if you want a comfortable, shaded, seating area to relax, it's all reserved for "bottle service only" customers. The music in the club starts at 10am, and finishes at 4am. I suggest only sleeping in that 6hr gap, as you will not be able to sleep at any other time, unless you sleep in the hallway. I expected some noise, but honestly, it is obnoxiously loud. Like loud just for the sake of being loud (pretty sure they're just trying to make a point to someone). I would have thought the rooms would have some level of soundproofing, but they don't, and your window will either be facing the obscenely large speaker systems, or your room will be above the DJ booth. You can try going to the roof top bar for a more chill environment, but there are even more speakers up there blasting music out into the world. Do not stay at this hotel unless you plan to party all night, and sleep all (most of the) day. Again, it is a beautiful hotel, and I only blame myself for not looking into it more, but just be warned. Hopefully, one day, they'll prove whatever point they're trying to make and turn the volume down a couple of decibels, so even the people walking past the hotel don't have to cross the street in fear of blowing out their ear drums.

a week agoHere are some facts about the hotel: The front desk and hotel staff are incredibly professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms and hotel are a bit older, and clean. The typical guests are between (adult only hotel) 18 and 30, and they really enjoy the lively atmosphere. Depending on where you’re room location, you might even get to hear the DJ till 2:00am. The hotel is not for everyone, but I did enjoy. Thank-you

a week agoThis place was so awesome walking up to it. It looks like the party has already started. I am so excited to be here in Miami and Michelle made my experience the best. I never stayed at this hotel and I already plan on coming back. They have complementary welcome, drinks, free bikes, and beach towels. Thank you Michelle and Demetrius for being a welcome face and sharing all the tips with us !!

a week agoHad a great time during our stay at the Clevelander South Beach. The vibrant life starts in the morning and goes on till early morning. We stayed in one of the balcony suites overlooking all the action (pool and outdoor bars) and it was enjoyable while sometimes noisy but I expected it as Clevelander is the premier party location on Ocean drive. Highly recommend for Bachelor/Bachelorette parties. Food and drinks were good.

2 weeks agoI can’t give enough stars for Michelle at the front desk. Other guests were treating her poorly and she never lost her cool and kept a smile. My group has some issues and she was extremely helpful. Every time we passed through the lobby, she was smiling and asking guests how their stay was going. Don’t ever let her go!
