The place is disgusting. The owner is rude and nasty without reason. The prices aren't consistent. He says, "My hotel, my price. " When you ask him to explain charges, he starts to yell and tells you to check out. There's open drug activity and prostitution on the property. The bathroom was so nasty. The rooms are full of dust. The sheets and spreads are dirty. I wouldn't place a dead dog here to die and it's already dead. If I could give a -10 rating, they'd get it.
I got a room there because it was the cheapest in the area and my wife and I just needed and a place to crash. The guy I spoke with was very unfriendly, but I decided to take the room anyway. As soon as he gave me the key (nobody has keys anymore!) I became suspicious. Opened the door, it was a dump. Then I saw a cockroach scurry behind the bed, and another behind the circa 1987 T.V., so I went right back to the front desk, gave the guy all the stuff back that he'd just given me and told him I'm not staying there. Without saying a word, he processed a refund. I guess that happens all the time. I went down the street and stayed at the quality inn for an extra 20 bucks. Didn't even have to share my bed with a cockroach!
As of my visits in 2017, it is the best hotel deal in the Florida City / Homestead area. It cost $50 flat, taxes and fees included. The doors work well and no junkies or hookers pressed me to explain my choice to not carry cash.
The rooms ain't clean. When me and husband rented a room the house keeper said she just cleaned it but there is no way she could have because there was dirt on the bed sheets and hair and dirt on the floor. It just wasnt clean. The people who run it are rude and disrespectful. This place is way to high for all the bs that comes with it.....
