2 months agoWhile visiting Miami Beach i randomly choose The Piano Bar. The atmosphere was very classy & elegant. For our starters we ordered Calamari & The Avocado toast, both were amazing¡¡¡ For the entree we ordered the Wagu with Asperges.. The Wagu was pretty much perfect¡¡¡¡ I'd recommend this establishment to any and all looking for a upscale food experience¡¡¡

10 months agoGreat place for breakfast! We went because we like the exterior and design of the hotel, and restaurant has great reviews. Everything met our expectations or even exceeded it. Food was delicious and nicely platted. Service by Daniel was fast and helpful - thank you :) We will come back if we will be around. Ps. In the evening there is live music, starting 6pm

3 months agoTL;DR Nice bar with kind staff, but the marketing for live music is a bit misleading. There's less music than one might expect. That's okay, but people should know that going in. "Jazz at The Betsy" is indeed an amazing music series, providing live music 9 times a week at the hotel bar. However, many patrons come expecting a full set list. I've been a couple of times, and often the musicians are in a casual, "on-again-off-again" (as described by a hostess) routine. They might play a few tunes for about half an hour, then break for up to an hour. I think this is okay, but it's not really what people expect when they hear "live music." Even dive bars will have an hour for each set. I don't think this is unfair, especially given there is no cover and no minimum to enjoy the music and the atmosphere. However, it would be wise to at least mention somewhere on the site that the music is intermittent and that the sets are very short. I sat next to a family once, and overheard them talking about the lack of music. They were in the bar for an entire hour well into the program, but didn't hear a single note. They left quite upset, saying they came all the way to The Betsy for the live music. I think it's reasonable, especially for jazz, for there to be intermittent playing and very short sets. But this should be divulged. Especially because a trip to The Betsy isn't for the food and drinks (which are average), but for the music.

3 months agoSuch a relaxing, friendly, social vibe on a busy Saturday evening during Art Basel. The service made us want to switch hotels and stay at Hotel Betsy forever. Artist-in-residence program, anyone?!
