a week agoIsland resort style, RV, and trailer campground in Islamorada, Florida. This new property has many amenities to make your stay very enjoyable. You can choose from deluxe full hook up, elite full hook up site, premium full hook up site, and a standard full hook up site. The sites all have 30 /50 amp service with sewer and water. The power is fresh and consistent. The water is clear (it’s Florida water), and the sewer hook ups are very clean. One thing you will discover is the sites are very close to each other, but well positioned so that you still have your privacy. Some sites have picnic tables, grills, gazebos, and concrete pads. Those amenities are based on the type site your reserve. All of the parking pads are a very fine gravel. There is a swimming pool, poolside, cabanas, kayak rental, almost daily musical entertainment at the pool, and a little Airstream Café on site. The pool side cabanas are so expensive to rent that nobody rents them and they stay empty all the time. The property is a mix of RV and trailer sites and island/summer homes. The sites are all at an angle, which will make backing into easy for any size camper. The streets are too short for anybody to gain speed and be unsafe. The property is not gated, but very safe and well positioned off A1A Overseas Hwy. You will hear road noise, but if you were familiar with A1A, it becomes bumper-to-bumper during the day and diminishes. Because of the position of the park to the coastline and the angle of the campsites, I would only have my awnings open when I am sitting under them and roll them up when I’m not outside. Every night, a strong wind would come and wreak havoc on our awning. The property is well lit and they have a nice LED street lamp system that will get brighter as you walk under its cast. The bathhouse, pool, laundry and restrooms are all new. The staff is friendly, willing to help, and businesslike. There is a great Islamorada city park across the street with picnic, Pickleball, beach, swimming, and walking trails. This park is a luxurious version of camping that provides comfortable accommodations and surroundings. If you’re accustomed to more basic outdoor experience, this may not be the park for you. The sites in this park are premium priced, but the entire property and accommodations are well worth the ticket price. Highly recommended

2 months agoThe resort is newer, nicely landscaped, clean, with lots to do. Unfortunately, we had a site closest to the busy road so we had noise all the time. But, we got to watch dead stopped traffic, going towards Key West, from about 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily. Get a site further in. The sites are a bit tight because the vegetation between sites spills over where you park and sit. There was strong smell of decaying vegetation in a few areas around the water. Traffic is outrageous.

3 months agoWe arrived last night and so far everything is wonderful. We are in one of the RV sites. Everything is clean, well taken care of. We arrived after office hours, but they made sure our paperwork was in an easy spot to find. Checked on us the next morning to see if everything was ok or had any problems. I had originally booked with Sun Outdoors in Key Largo but realized our camper was too big for the spot. Jamaica in reservations did a wonderful job helping us get things changed at the last minute. Thank you to Islamorada for working with us and being so accommodating. This place is beautiful!

3 months agoThis is NOT the place for a family RV vacation!! Had you asked me that question in 2023 I would have said an empatic absolute yes, in 2024 absolutely not! For 2024 they made it VERY obvious that they don't really want kids at this resort. They police the daylights out of the ridiculous wristbands MULTIPLE times a day for both children and adults and made you feel like a criminal. Let's note this isn't some 5 star resort that is sold out that people are clamoring to come sneak use of the amenities. We stayed for 8 days in early 2023 after they opened and nearly the same in 2024 - both in off -peak seasons. The experience in 2024 was HORRENDOUS compared to our 2023 experience - and 2023 we backed up to the construction fence and had construction noise from 7am until dusk. To start we arrived and were told our camper was not acceptable for the spot we booked- which camper type and size was verified during booking in-person in 2023. The only issue here was different office staff. I politely responded that we would not accept another available spot as it situated us with our door to afternoon/evening sun and would limit our use and enjoyment. We additionally noted we had a 2nd vehicle and they told us we needed to go find another location in town to pay to park it. Every day when we would swim, the office staff would come down to the pool at least hourly to inspect guests wristbands - with a less than 1/4 full pool and pool deck. They policed both those relaxing in chairs and those swimming - it got to be obnoxious over the course of the week. There also are not so many guests in this resort that the office shouldn't be able to recognize their guests and stop the wristband madness - it truly makes the resort feel cheap and that they are money hungry trying to nickel and dime. This is the only resort in the area that is trying to limit you from having friends/visitors come visit and nickel and dime you to have them hang out for a bit. The marina again this year had an abnormally large amount of seaweed and garbage that was not removed during our entire stay. In 2023 they removed it every 2-3 days into a dump trailer. In 2024, the staff were quite arrogant, rude, and flat out lacked customer service skills. The staff in 2023 were warm, welcoming, friendly, interactive, accomodating, and engaging. For 2024 we experienced staff driving around the park quite quickly and somewhat recklessly at times, somewhat disregarding camper safety. It is sad to see how the leadership and staffing change at this resort has had such a negative impact on the feel and overall experience.

3 months agoThis place is beautiful! Right along the ocean with a huge pool. We enjoy our stay each year, and it just keeps getting better the only drawback is the wifi/tv situation - even the premium service is fragmented, and I must reset it through an episode.
