Since our home in Missouri has multiple wineries just a stones throw from our door where they grow most all of their own grapes, it was interesting to go to a winery where 90% of their wines are made from subtropical fruits, such as lychee, pineapple, mango, coconut and even avocado (which I didn't think I would like, but ended up being my second favorite). The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was for their pricing. For 5 tastings (you get to keep the wine glass), it is $25. Now, if you bring the glass back for another tasting, your tasting will be half price. Our server, Christian, was super friendly and knowledgeable. He told us about each wine, the processing, and the types of fruits. Who knew there are over 500 varieties of mangos. Well, now I know! They did have live music and outdoor space. Other things they offer: tours, brewery, and restaurant.
Beautiful property, walk around and enjoy the gardens. The service at the winery was quite slow. There were not that many people here and a lot of servers but it took a long time between tastings. Three of the five were ok. The last two were average. Music was nice, enjoyed Jimmy Dred! Keep it up Jimmy
Came to Schnelby Winery for my birthday and had the most fabulous day. Vinny was our connoisseur and he was just amazing. He was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about their different fruit wine. He made the experience so elegant. I recommend him to EVERYONE who comes here. The owner stopped by to talk to us and he was awesome as well. The location is just gorgeous and the koi fish are stunning. I will be coming back for sure. The bar is very homey and shaped like a tree so it is similar to grabbing the fruit from the tree when they grab a glass. I love this place!!
This is a place that you must visit when you’re in the Homestead area! Place is beautifully decorated and well thought out. They have a a lovely outdoor area where kids can run around and play while adults admire the exotic fish in the pond.
The food and service are top notch! I had never tried any tropical fruit wine before until I came to this place! Mia, our server, is extremely knowledgeable in the menu and offered us some suggestions! I had the burger and the meat was cooked to the temperature I requested and presentation was nice! We also had the tuna salad, which was very refreshing!
Tip: They also serve coffee! We had an expresso, latte and mocha!
✨ First time visit...found this venue through a Groupon offering a wine tasting and tour for two. I made reservations and surprised my husband for a day date on a Saturday afternoon. By coming in the early afternoon, it was a cool January day with lots of Florida sunshine and we were able to experience the entirety of facilities.
We arrived early to our scheduled tour so decided to enjoyed eating lunch outdoors at the restaurant on premise. My husband ordered the *special* tomahawk ribeye steak (32 ounces) reasonably priced at $125. I had the vegan portabella steak over black bean risotto. We were even greeted by the chef who prepared the meal.
After lunch, we enjoyed the 30 minute tour of the winery and brewery with Rui. You get an insider look at how the wine is made. I appreciate how immaculate the facility is kept.
While watching the sunset, we went inside for our tasting. Wynt is the BEST. He is knowledgeable, professional and very personable! We received great recommendations according to our preferences. My fave is the sweet Avo. And to make it an even more memorable experience we were able to take home the wine glasses!
We enjoyed the entire day and were happy we were able to experience it before it became crowded later in the afternoon. Great place for solos, couples and groups. 💯
