The service was excellent! Everyone was helpful. The place is loaded with amenities, sauna, spa, steam room and showers. They have a bar and seem to have nightly events going on. The decor is great and attention to details keeps the theme of the hotel going. Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here for one night last week. Our room was clean and the AC worked great. It was a short walk to the shops/restaurants on Lincoln Rd and not too far to the beach. If you don’t want to walk, there are bikes you can borrow. The staff was friendly and helpful and it seems like there’s a lot that goes on at the hotel itself (unfortunately we missed Sunday funday). We’re a straight couple and felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the vibe :)

We had the pleasure of staying at the Gaythering Hotel in Miami Beach before our cruise, and what a delightful choice it turned out to be! This quirky little gem won us over with its charm, friendliness, and unbeatable location.
Let’s start with the essentials: the rooms. Our Studio King was spacious, spotless, and came with a handy kitchenette. Sure, the décor leans toward “simple chic,” but who needs over-the-top luxury when everything is functional and clean? Plus, the bed was so comfortable that getting up for breakfast felt like a personal betrayal. Speaking of breakfast…
The included breakfast was a bit of a mixed bag—not gourmet, but hey, it was free! A touch of disorganization added to the charm, and the staff’s smiles and willingness to help more than made up for it. And let’s talk about that staff—they were absolutely top-notch. Friendly, helpful, and always up for a laugh, they embodied the warm and welcoming vibe that the Gaythering is all about.
The hotel’s location is the cherry on top. It’s close to everything, with a handy little supermarket right next door for those last-minute snacks or late-night cravings. While it’s not beachfront, the view of the nearby bay/canal was a lovely touch—and let’s be real, Miami’s never-ending sunshine and vibrant atmosphere make up for it.
Oh, and the sauna? Clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. It wasn’t the hottest social spot during our visit, but the in-and-out privileges meant we could unwind on our own schedule.
Perhaps the best part was the fellow guests. There’s something special about staying in a gay hotel where everyone just gets it—good vibes, friendly faces, and an easygoing atmosphere all around.
Would we book again? Absolutely! The Gaythering strikes a perfect balance of affordability, comfort, and fabulousness. It’s the kind of place that feels like a home away from home—with a little extra sparkle. Highly recommend!
