We have been staying there waiting for my apartment to be ready. On May 15th there was a storm and under the AC water started pouring underneath flooding the room. I told my husband to go kick the bricks that was holding the water like a pool. When he ran out in the rain kicked the bricks down. The water was released and it stopped flooding. I took pictures of the flooding and the pool of water. The lady called the police the next day and had us kicked out. I tried to show her the pictures and she said she didn't care. She wouldn't even look at the pictures. I begged her not to do it. She is very rude and and kept saying she didn't care, I told her to please not do it I have proof with the pictures.She told me to get out of the office. When we got there the place was filthy very nasty just like the woman that kicked us out. We left the room very clean, we are good people and didn't deserve to be kicked out. We did nothing wrong. Now I'm in a hotel for the night and don't know what I'm going to do.
If you have a dog, no matter the size, this is the place. No pets fees, don't expect luxurious rooms, is a kind of moms and pops hotel. Never had to worry about security. If you are going to stay more than a week, ask for a weekly special. Visit also the restaurant next to it, a bit expensive for my taste but excellent food.
I was called from Colorado to repair a few broken breathing machines from a near by Homestead Hospital Driving down US ! I stopped to get a bite at a Great Cuban Restaurant right next to the hotel, I asked the waitress about the hotel and she said it was very clean and moderate price. At check in I was given a mask, a bottle of hand sanitizer and a few good pointers, On my way to my room , the housekeepers were washing down the hallway with bleach. The rooms clean, comfortable bed, free high speed Internet, TV and clean bathroom. My 2 day stay there was great Good price, good bed, great wi fi great food right there what else can you ask
HORRIBLE! Seriously not worth it at all, the man working the front desk was so rude. After I checked into the room, 238, I told him it smelled like smoke and he didn't want to change my room. His excuse was "if they want to smoke in the room they can, what do you expect me to do" when the door clearly says *reserved for NON-Smoking guests*. He didn't want to change our room, gave me attitude, and if they don't even do this right I can't expect anything else from them. Quickly went to the Floridian which is right next door and luckily they had 2rooms left. It's Labor Day weekend. I got the room and it was just a breath of fresh air (literally) the room was nice and modern and the person at the front desk was glad to have us there and even gave us a discount for our bad service next door. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!
I think it's very overpriced I've stayed at better places for less money, not worth it. The rooms are spacious and clean which is a good thing but still not worth the price plus the office is always smokey so if you don't like cigarettes you may want to avoid the office and they have one ice machine which has a lock and you have to get the key out of the office so once office is closed, no more ice. The guy in the office is friendly but the woman definitely needs to work on her people skills and attitude very rude horrible customer service skills on her part.
