Website says only 1 picnic table, but there are at least six here. Very small playground. Access to ocean, but rocky shore, so not for swimming. Shaded picnic tables and a small grassy area for Frisbee, etc. Very nice spot for a picnic. Only 2 parking areas at park, but several more just across on the grassy area from the parking lot.
Nice place for a walk or run. Technically not an off-leash park, leashes required. No sandy beach, water meets rocks. Lots of benches, trails & open field. Information plaques next to trees describing the foliage, pretty cool!
This is a very nice and needed rest area if you are coming from the keys. You can stretch your legs, take nice pictures, take a nap or just sit to have a final snack before leaving Monroe county.
Quaint little park in Tavernier. Not a park to walk trails, but has a small playground and an open field for the kiddos. Two benches along the water give you a great ocean view.
Old Settler's Park is a historic treasure hidden in plain sight along the side of the road in Tavernier. Enjoy the shaded pathway among the trees, well marked with ID tags, as well as the butterfly garden. The Albury Pavilion honors the pioneer settlers that once lived here. Displays offer clues as the the local history with photos and stories of the pioneer era. The state historic marker tells the tale of early life in the Florida Keys. Walk down by the ocean to enjoy the gentle breeze. Look around the immediate neighborhood to discover the original old buildings that remain from this pioneer settlement.
