a week agoIt was one of the more affordable options we came across, but the rooms were very dated. We could not get one of the exterior doors or the door that seperates from another hotel room to lock. The property restaurant was awesome! It had great food and an awesome tiki patio overlooking the canal. The pool was not great, but they let you use the nearby holiday inn pool and it was awesome. We really enjoyed the view of the canal. We saw nurse sharks, manatees, pelicans, iguana, fish, boats, etc. That was my favorite part. Overall we enjoyed our time, just wish the room and lobby would have been nicer.

a month agoWe decided to take a last minute 2 day trip down to the keys from the Ft Myers area to kayak. We actually have a time share in Marathon but was 100% booked (it was new years week). Pros: For the high red travel time the price was good! $208 per night. The location was decent we could get to the area we wanted to kayak in about 30min. (10 miles away) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Property is in a decent safe area. Cons: They do not have enough Parker for the amount of rooms. We had to park away and walk to our room. Leaving the kayaks as an easy target on to of the SUV not my favorite option. (Still there in the A.M.) The rooms were outdated, small, little dirty, and weirdly laid out. 1-2 outlets visible. Don’t count on a nice breakfast it’s a quick low budget snack!

a month agoThis hotel is so we'll satiated on the Marina and has a beautiful view on the Marina. It is walking distance to a few good restaurants. Staff were friendly and breakfast great for a continental breakfast. The hotel is a little older but I do recommend it and if I had the chance I would go stay again.

3 weeks agoI picked a room facing the canal. The room was clean and comfortable but dated. It looked like they were under new ownership, so they may be updating the rooms soon. There was no fridge. The only issue was the noise & parking. There was a band playing at the bar next door until 11 p.m., but I knew about it from reading reviews prior to booking. At 7am, a car alarm started blaring and kept going for a while, I went to make sure it wasn't mine. There is no sound dampening, some gaps around the doors. A couple of women had a long conversation on the balcony shortly after the band stopped, so I didn't get much sleep. 2 Words of advice: bring earplugs and don't arrive late. I arrived around 8p.m. and almost had to park in a lot down the street, but thank you to the people who happened to vacate a parking spot so I could nab it. As a solo female traveler, I wasn't excited to be walking alone at night, with my luggage.

a month agoWe liked the pool, rooms, view and location well enough to stay an extra night. Also found out this is a sister to the a joining Holiday inn so we had access to the HI pool and exercise room. All located on the waterfront. Look up the ride on the African Queen - the actual boat from the movie over 100 years old and you can go for a ride to the tune of $70 per person for 1.5 hours.
