Key Island Cleaners

I left 8 pieces to make the hem of my curtains. I asked him to give me the budget beforehand, because depending on it, he wouldn't do it. She called me and said “it's $20 dollars” and I thought, ok, good price to make the bars. I authorized it. When my son went to pick up the curtains she charged $$166.38. HOW ABSURD!! I buy all the curtains for half that price on Amazon, the curtain tables and with the measurements I needed. I called her on the phone and said that SHE NEVER MENTIONED EACH ONE, I'm not responsible for interpreting it, because everyone interprets it the way they want. She said to either undo the curtains and give me my money back or I would pay half that price. An uneducated, rude person who doesn't know how to work or treat customers well, she screamed on the phone. She told me to take the curtains back and she would undo them. When I called again to say that I was coming that day, she told me that she wasn't going to do anything, that I had to imagine what SHE DIDN'T SAY. What??? I DON'T HAVE TO IMAGINE ANYTHING. If I go somewhere and ask how much it is, I don't want to imagine. I haven't called the police yet, because I didn't have time. Don't do business there, Brickell has much better options, affordable prices, good service and they are genuine. They don't deceive the customer. This is fraud. Saying something and wanting the customer to imagine what she didn't say and then demanding what she wants. Disrespect and theft!!

First, Key Island Cleaners damaged my silk sweater- it was returned with a small whole in it, which I did not notice immediately and decided not to complain. But, when they damaged my cashmere cardigan, which I noticed immediately upon receiving it, the receptionist tried to argue that she "remembered" that it was damaged before and that I should prove that it was not. I complained in writing with the manager of this establishment, his name is Enrique, by handing a letter to him in the presence of witnesses. He just ignored it. I did not receive neither apologies nor compensation. Outrageous denial of any responsibility! I would proceed taking them to court, but my time spent worth more than the trouble. I guess they count on people just not having time for dealing with them, that is why they behave in this manner. There are many other much better cleaners on the island- use them, save your clothes.

Never again! They do not have any customer service! They have no idea how to do alterations and if you tell them to fix it, they won’t! Incredible, they had the nerve to tell me I should iron the pant myself and then if it does no get fixed... come back with the complaint!

We are relatively new to Key Biscayne. I needed to have a few business shirts washed/pressed, and we decided to try Key Island Cleaners. There are really very few available options on Key Biscayne. Well, Key Island Cleaners lost one of my shirts. They asked for time to resolve the problem and hopefully find the shirt, but they did not. I purchased the shirt from Thomas Pink, who provide great products and services. They were able to tell me the exact details of the purchase, and that the cost to replace the lost shirt is $185 USD. Key Island Cleaners offered us $33 USD, and refused to budge. They were rude to my wife. Now, you would think that a "small town" shop would be more customer-friendly. I does not take a business genius to figure out that our "lifetime value" to them is quite high. After all, there are only a few options for Dry Cleaners on the island, so they could have had us as customers for many years. Well, we have already switched to Master Clean Cleaners, who said that under similar circumstances they would have refunded us the full $185 USD. So, my advice is avoid Key Island Cleaners. You do have a few options on Key Biscayne, so why go with one that delivers a horrible experience.
