2 months agoWe had dinner on a weekday night in early December. The place was pretty empty. While this restaurant is not on the water and has no scenic views, it does have a terrific menu, great food, and very good service. We ate in the outdoor seating area, which was very relaxing. We appreciated that the restaurant was very accommodating of food allergies and food preferences. Basically we could have our fish prepared however we liked. We enjoyed yellowtail snapper and scallops for dinner and an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. We will definitely return the next time we vacation in the area.

a month agoGreat spot for the family to stop on our way down the keys. Place was very nice and clean. Service was friendly and fast. Not too expensive. Kids loved the fish and waffle fries. Tuna wrap and yellow tail was great.

2 weeks agoAbsolutely recommend! Great atmosphere inside and outside, super friendly hosts who try to make it perfectly right for guests. Food selection/quality and price definitely right. We‘ll be back!

2 months agoAfter spending a day at the John Pennekamp State Park, we found this restaurant and went around 5pm. The environment of the restaurant is pretty nice, especially the outdoor seating area surrounded by fairy light strung trees and nature elements. We ordered Drunken Shrimp for our appetizer, but to even say the best, it was mediocre. Although the shrimp was fresh, we didn’t enjoy the overly salty and sour sauce. For the entrees, we ordered their mahi mahi quesadilla, dolphin ruben, and mahi hobo penne. All the dishes were presented well, but the food just wasn’t enjoyable. The quesadilla looked amazing, but the meat and beans were extremely dry. However, I must say that their house coleslaw was beyond by expectations, but the Mahi hobo penne wasn’t what I expected. It had cubes of tomato, chives, and sliced mushrooms with an oily sauce. We were pretty disappointed after seeing so many good reviews and the busy restaurant. The only thing that I really liked was the key lime pie, which was silky and rich, but had a faint aftertaste of citrusy lime, perfect paired with the dollops of cream.

3 weeks agoLarge portions and good quality. Had the hobo sandwich with Hogfish and Little Key with Grouper. The key sandwich was the better choice with tomatoes and parmigiana. Cole slaw is fresh but the dressing was thin for my liking. The locals eat here which is a big positive
