Hampton Inn & Suites Homestead Miami South

It’s crazy that Hilton lets these Hamptons be a part of their name. This one was particularly below average with a price tag that is capitalistic of the “Miami” location. There was a buzzing noise in our room every minute, the heavy coat hanger that was loosely attached, fell off the wall and hit my wife’s foot. For a $200/ night price tag this should be unacceptable in America, however, we seem to just put up with this crap and let the owners just get away with it. Obviously they are still in business and doing just fine despite the minimal “hospitality” they provide. I would not recommend this hotel.

I can offer you ear plugs , Sir The management is aware of a noise problem on the second floor and still they sell the rooms. The manager confirmed the loud noise coming into the room at night was the pressure from the water pipes. We did not sleep well at all. His offer of ear plugs was laughable. Go to any hotel but this one.

This hotel is clean and modern but bed and linens seemed “value” oriented My interaction with staff was friendly and helpful. Desk phone poor with lots of static I had a hard time talking to front desk There was a nice selection for the free breakfastSmall waste basket and none in bathroom

Cracked cove base in my bathroom, loose on the wall. Two drawers on the dresser in my room do not close. My bed creaks. The hallways are ungodly hot. The first morning at around 4:45am, the fire alarm went off intermittently for what felt like an hour. Only one elevator worked. I could deal with all that stuff except the front desk staff seem apathtic to customers, and allergic to saying hello. Am I at the Hampton or a motel? At least the room was clean.

Stayed here for two nights to go to the Everglades and would generally not recommend staying here, if there is other hotels for a similar price available nearby. Rooms - The rooms are dated but clean, however, the AC units are terrible. The entire room smelled moldy and it was extremely damp to the extent that the pages of our books became wavy. Pool - We chose this hotel because of the nice pool, however, the pool was closed the entire time (we visited in July 2024) and this info was not communicated to us in advance. We were allowed to use the hotel poor next door which was not a great alternative because their pool was small and dirty. We complained and got some money back which was appreciated.
