Honest Review:
We came to visit Florida from Canada and chose here to stay for a couple of days. Overall, you get what you paid for, but it could've been a bit better.
Rooms: Not bad but we noticed that one of our bed sheets had weird small stains on it. Room services changed the bed sheets and towels the next day while we were outside, so that was a relief. Also, our wifi absolutely sucked. It may be because we got the corner room of the hotel, but our wifi was horrible, and had to use our data. There is better wifi in the hotel lobby, but that's inconvenient.
Service: The service was good. We were allowed to check in late at night, good room service, super friendly staff, and plenty of options for breakfast.
Location: This is a great place to stay if you want to visit the key largos since it's much closer. However, if you plan on visiting Miami city more often, you might want to find a place further up north to save gas and driving time.
I'd recommend this place for a day or two if you are visiting the largos, but that's the most I would recommend.
Worst hotel and service. Please choose this hotel if you want to stay in ugly, smelly rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and requested for room service on day 2. They didn’t show up. Later mentioned about that to the owner and requested for service on day 3. The room were left as it is and no service was done. The bedsheets were sticky and very discomforting. Towels are smelly. Breakfast is ok. Very disappointed with the total outcome. You have better hotels for the same price around the same area.
We were on our way to the Keys and didn't expect anything special or luxurious.
Therefore we were pleasantly surprised. Clean and quite room, nice service, hotel-like motel.
The breakfast was ok. Cafe, fruit, a selection of pastries and warm dishes - classic American.
However, you had to eat from polystyrene plates and cups as well as plastic cutlery (all disposable). On the one hand, it had no style, and on the other hand, the topic of sustainability doesn't seem to have been addressed here.
Otherwise, I can recommend the Floridian for guests passing through and 1-night-stays.
Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Superb staging point for car tours to the Keys and Key West. Also close to US Park Service entrance points to the Everglades National Park plus other attractions such as Zoo Miami and Bill Baggs park. Although avoid driving from Miami at its traffic rush period. Extraordinary heavy and very slow moving traffic.
Good location, but the bedsheets just felt weird in texture, for some reason it just did not feel comfortable but rather a little sticky? It was not a very comfortable stay, but not too bad for the price and location. The breakfast that was served was pretty good quality
