A fairly run on the mill supermarket with a decent selection of basic items. I was just curious that their sun protection section was almost empty. And the cash desk area was rather old fashioned with the two ladies handling the check out in a very slow, archaic way. You hand your selected items onto a counter and the ladies scan them out. No modern conveyor belt system here. This is another place where handing out plastic bags for the purchased items seems to be standard. In many parts of Europe, for sensible environmental reasons, that would no longer be the case.
Management Staff member Kelly at this store slacks on customer service. A couple weeks back, she tells me at this store she manages, they do NOT do PayPal cash reloads at all. I did find out from another store, with REAL WORKING management staff, that was a lie, that she decided not to bother to do it at this Key Largo store because she didn't feel like it. NOW TODAY, was a NEW experience with the same staff member Kelly, there were long lines at the cash register, she finally had to help the other cashier and opened a new register, I was apparently at the end of the line, the 1st cashier was still busy, Kelly had just finished, I asked her "If she can take me at her register" she said "NO" and rudely walked off. WOW, JUST WOW! I know that we are understaffed in Florida Keys, but this kind of LOW GRADE management makes this store location a bad place to shop at. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, AND SHOP AT THE OTHER LOCATIONS IN MM106 KEY LARGO OR TAVERNIER IN THE STRIP MALL (TAVERNIER TOWN), THEY HAVE MORE STUFF IN STOCK AND FRIENDLY STAFF THERE THAT DO WANT TO WORK!..
